Building Your Website

The website process and how it all works.

The Website Process
An Overview

To create and build your website consists of a series of phases where we work closely together. My goal is to build a website that works as hard as you do without the overwhelm for you. Just as everyone is unique, so is your business. I want to provide the perfect solution for your business so that your website achieves your goals.

A website is not a ‘set and forget’ project. If your website is to work hard for you it needs to evolve and change over time to help your business grow. The website needs to be able to meet the aims and goals of your business. It also needs to be adaptable if it’s not working as efficiently as possible in meeting the business goals.

There are 4 phases the we work through as part of the overall website project: –

1. The Website Strategy

2. Building Your Website

3. Maintaining Your Website

4. Growing Your Website

Building Your Website
A Breakdown

Step 1 - The Discovery

The biggest and most important part of any website is discovering why you want a website built and what you want it to do for your business. We look at the types of clients you help and the problems you can solve for them. As you evolve, so does your business and your website needs to keep pace with these changes.

Step 2 - The Content

The content of your website is at the very core of what you do and who you help. Your content should be helpful, informative and valuable to help prospects through their buying journey, whether they become clients of yours or not. Get clear on the problems you solve for your clients in your content and be the guide they need you to be.

Step 3 - Design & Build

Next, we look at the structure your website will have. The will also include an overview of the elements that will be included on the website to meet the needs of the website and your business. We dive into the homepage layout and the key elements to get your web visitor to move onto page 2.

Step 4 - The Pre-Launch Phase

The pre-launch phase will go through a series of checks to make sure that everything is in place before the website is launched. Once you have completed this phase, you will be ready to launch your website to the world!

Your Website will Need to...

  • Be easy for your website visitors to go back and forth and find what they are looking for easily
  • Eliminate the need for the same questions being asked over and over again by different customers about your services
  • Be a fast website for your visitors even if you use lots of images
  • Increase the number of people who find you on Google
  • Be easy for you to manage your own updates
  • Be able to include elements for your unique business needs
  • Capture the interest and give the value of your expertise to your prospects
  • Responsive in design and easy to navigate on any computer, iPad or smartphone
  • Meet the requirements of GDPR

The job of your website is to provide prospects with helpful, informative and educational information about how you can help them solve the problem they have and move them closer to making a buying decision which is right for them.

Taking Care of You and Your Website

If you want to have more of a conversation, then tell me more about your exciting project. Having some structure of writing it all down can really help give you the focus you need.

I’m in the business of building great relationships in business so when we work together and build your website, it’s a joint venture that we both care a lot about. That’s why I want to keep on supporting you you you have the peace of mind and someone you trust to “go to” for your website needs.

Do You Have a Question?

See if some of my frequently asked questions can help you further. If not, don’t hesitate to get in touch.

A project can normally be turned around in 4-6 weeks as long as both parties keep to the timetable agreed

Each project is considered on a one by one basis and is personal to you and your project. You need to have a good idea of what your budget is to start with but when you Tell Me About Your Project you will have the opportunity to explore this further. As a guide, prices start from around £2,500 – £3,500 but this is then dependent on the individual project requirements. Find out More: How Much Does a Website Cost?

No but the payment son a project are staged. A 50% payment is taken at the beginning of the project, with 2 further part payments as the project progresses.

You don’t need to know about tech or what tech you want to use on your website, that’s my job. What you do need to know is what you want your website goals to be and what you want it to achieve for your business. The mechanics of how you achieve that are for me to worry about and find the best solutions for your business

To be fair to all my clients and to ensure that I can track all communication, I prefer to communicate by email. I do also communicate via Zoom as I love to meet people face to face!

Yes all my clients receive training to make sure they are comfortable making small changes to their website.

I follow a process for each website build, taking one step at a time so that we are always clear and on track for the project. It also helps to manage any overwhelm you might be feeling and rather than give you everything all at once, we go through the process one step at a time.

I'm so glad You're Here!
